Which PRICES INCLUDE GST?? :-  This applies to most purchases paid by cash, e-Interac, EMT or Postal Money order, with a few exceptions.  Firearms and consignment sales are + GST.

We would be happy to accept credit card payment.  However, being a family owned Firearms business that solely sells Firearms, ammunition, parts and repairs we are unable to offer this option.  In recent years credit card processors, many delivery services and other business to business services have chosen to prohibit the use of their products and services by Firearms businesses.  Unlike “Sporting goods” stores, department stores, hardware stores and similar businesses that sell far more value of items not Firearms related and can obtain services from these discriminatory providers, we have not been able to do so.  We continue to try to find options, but so far without success.

Firearms, magazines, barrels, slides, binary target, powder and ammunition purchases:  All purchases require a copy of the purchaser’s valid PAL, front and rear to be emailed to info@practicalperformance.ca before the purchase can be processed.  Further a PAL Verification is now required for all purchases with the exception of a Prescribed Antique or Deactivated firearm.  Once your paid order has been submitted and your PAL provided, we will contact you for the information needed to obtain this Verification.  This is to uphold our legal obligation as a Dealer in Canada. Thanks for your understanding and co-operation.

Used Firearms:  All firearms are described to the best of our ability and we will be happy to send you more pictures if you feel the need.

Warranties: All new products we sell carry Manufacturers warranties.  We are not a warranty depot, any claims need to be submitted directly to the manufacturer or their authorized warranty center for Canada.  Surplus ammunition, used items and used firearms carry no warranties of any kind.

Shipping: The size of the package as opposed to the weight is the main factor in shipping cost. We ship Canada Post.  Insurance, if desired, is extra.  Tracking is not available on the shipping options below $20 as this is the cost of the smallest, tracked flat rate box from Canada Post.  If you desire tracking contact us and we can give you the tracked shipping options based on package size.  We are not responsible for losses in the shipping process once it has left our depot.  Damage and loss claims must be submitted by the destination with the carrier involved.

Due to shipping regulations we can not ship ammunition, powder, binary targets or primers via Canada Post.  Due to our rural location, we have no other regular shipping option available.

International Shipping:  Some items can not be shipped outside of Canada.  For items we can ship outside of Canada it is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that the product can be legally imported by them.  The buyer is responsible for any duties or fees incurred at the border.  We are not responsible for items, in any way, once they have departed our depot for international delivery.  Please email with any questions you have regarding International shipping.

Shopping cart/payments:  When using the shopping cart you can pay by e-Interac (emt) only.  See above, second paragraph from top, re credit card issues.

Back Orders: This site is setup to NOT allow backorders. The reason for this is that items we carry may not always be available for re-order.  If something is out of stock by all means email us and we will let you know if we are ordering more or if the availability of the item is uncertain. However, as items can take months to make it across the border and into our warehouse prepaid backorders are NOT accepted.  On the items where backorder is allowed you can place the order as normal HOWEVER the product will not be ordered until payment is received as these items are considered “special order”

With the current and proposed changes in the Canadian firearms legislation, OIC’s, directives, policies, pending legislation and amendments we have no idea what will and won’t be possible from day to day.  Like you, the public, we are not given any information from the Government before it becomes public and we have no answers for you.  We continue to strive to bring the Canadian shooter quality, innovative items.

We base our prices on actual landed cost. All prices therefore are subject to change without notice and are limited to stock on hand.

Dealers/Gunsmiths:  On products we import directly as distributors or dealers for foreign companies we do offer “dealer pricing” to licensed Business Firearms Dealers in Canada.  Please contact john@practicalperformance.ca if you are interested in products we import directly with a copy of your valid Canadian BFL.
